Biography
My French education culminated with a diploma from the Ecole Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles de la ville de Paris (ESPCI) in 1994. I then continued at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a Master in Materials Science and Engineering which was later completed with a PhD in Engineering Management from Kennedy Western University.
After over 20 years setting up and improving processes in factories serving multiple industries (composites, aerospace, renewable energy, green-tech, oil-and-gas), I shifted my focus to helping scale-up companies finalize their product designs, define their manufacturing strategies, and implement industry best practice in Lean and Operational Excellence.
My practical approach combines hands-on work on-site and setting up the foundation of the digital transformation of the assembly operations (Augmented LEAN).
Most of the companies I choose to help are robotic companies working on bringing a combination of hardware and software products to market.
I found that the skills I use the most around the worktables are:
+ knowledge of production techniques and required quality processes
+ a relevant industrial network and the ability to develop partnerships
+ an approach that is both rational and hands-on
+ experience with management systems, regulations, and digital transformation
+ the ability to bring clarity to processes an to pave the way for operational excellence
I also use my wide international experience (in Europe, the USA, and Asia) to teach the basis of New Product Introduction in European accelerators, workshops and events. I often use Lego sets to add a hands-on feature to my teaching.
